BBC World Service to record The Arts Hour On Tour in Stockholm
BBC kommer till Stockholm för livesända sitt program ”The Arts Hour” digitalt. Mer info om anmälan här. OBS: samtalet sker på engelska.
BBC World Service Radio will be hosting an online panel of top Swedish creative talents, live performances and a Swedish online audience in a recording of ‘The Arts Hour On Tour in Stockholm’ in English, on Wednesday 10 March, online from 1345 CET.
The Arts Hour on Tour is ‘virtually’ in Stockholm to find out how Sweden’s performers and artists are responding to the Covid-19 pandemic. There will be performances from musicians Seinabo Sey and Sara Parkman, stand-up comedy from Johan Glans and an online audience, all joining us through the magic of the internet.
Top creative talents from the world of film, including director Ruben Östlund and actor Evin Ahmad, join presenter Nikki Bedi to discuss how the pandemic is changing their working methods and subject matter. The programme will ask how the future looks for the arts in Sweden, a world leader in pop music production and design, where the government’s recommendations for dealing with Covid-19 have recently become stricter.
The Arts Hour is inviting those who work in the creative industries in Sweden to contact theartshour@bbc.co.uk to share their observations, some of which will be included in the show. Our privacy policy can be found here – https://bbc.in/2J3iShW
This is the second leg of The Arts Hour’s ‘virtual’ tour, with ‘The Arts Hour On Tour in Rome’ airing in December 2020.
Press can join us from their computer on 10 March at 1345 CET and the programme will be broadcast on BBC World Service on Saturday 20 March. Please contact mattie.allen@bbc.co.uk or nicki.paxman@bbc.co.uk for media accreditation to attend the recording on 10 March.
